Turning a won quote into a job

When a quote is won, Prevarro creates the job for you from the winning option.

This article is being updated.

You don't copy a won quote into a job by hand. The moment a quote is won, Prevarro creates the job from it. A variation quote raised on a job adds a new scope to that job instead.

Quoting and Jobs show by default for businesses that deliver work as jobs. If your business runs members, they're hidden unless someone turns them on in Settings → Modules.

Two ways a quote is won

If the quote has more than one option, you're asked which option won. If the option has optional items, you then tick the ones the customer took. Your client picks their option, and any optional items, when they accept.

What the job starts with

The new job carries over from the quote:

The Use the quote's sections as phases box starts unticked unless your business has turned on Use a won quote's sections as phases by default in Quoting → Settings. A quote your client accepts online follows that setting.

The job opens as a Quick job or a Project, whichever your business picked under New jobs open as in Jobs → Settings. It also opens as a Project whenever the quote's payment schedule has more than one milestone, or the winning option includes a subcontractor's labour.

The job is named with its job number to start with. Click the name at the top of the job to rename it.

Find the job

Go to Jobs. The new job is in the list. When you open it, a What was just set up panel lists what was created, including the quote it came from. Select Edit setup to adjust it, or the cross to hide the panel for good.

On a Project, the Scope tab shows the base scope and its deliverables. On a Quick job, the deliverables are under Work on the job's page.
